Leah C Ott, MD

Leah is a General Surgery resident at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and has been working as a postdoctoral research fellow in the Goldstein lab since May 2022. Her work is supported by an NIH T32 training grant

Current Project

Leah’s research focuses on the role of neuroimmune signaling in the development of Hirschsprung-associated enterocolitis, a serious complication of Hirschsprung disease. Additionally, she is investigating the effects of adipose-derived adult neural stem cells on regeneration following peripheral nerve injury.

Other interests

Outside of the hospital and the lab, Leah enjoys running, downhill skiing, and baking.
